Heard from John McHaffie...twice!

Been meaning to post this…

Won’t bore you with all the details, but I emailed John recently (via his feedback page and via direct email). John responded to both with a day or so.

My order, originally placed on June 22, will be filled within 90 days. John said he expects to get all pending orders built and shipped in that time. Then he plans to shut down production for a while to finish redesigning (and I expect to get a fresh start once he resumes production).

What I don’t see though is if he’s accepting new orders…

But thought I’d let you all know he did respond and quickly. I sense he’s really trying to meet his commitments.

So if you’ve a whistle on order, you WILL get it! :slight_smile:

If I remember correctly in a previous post he put up, he said that he wasn’t accepting any more orders until he got sorted out with his backlog.

Very wise if you ask me.

I forgot to add: he said he’s struggled with his material supplier. So he’s had to deal with one problem after another. Here’s hoping he can get everything sorted out. I’d hate to lose him. :slight_smile:

Well, it’s good to hear that he’s quick to take your money, but it would be a lot more comforting if he would actually start returning the money that people have asked him to refund. I know of at least 2 customers who sent their whistles back that haven’t received a refund… both have been waiting for over a month, and he’s not answering their mail. Not a good sign.

This really is not the proper place for me to be posting such things, especially in this tense, and needy time of our country, this seems rather frivilous, but I do want to be responsive for everyone.

I have time and again, asked those who have any questions or problems to e-mail me at the following address:

If there are any needs or concerns or questions, please direct them there. I will re-state once more that among other things, I have had several system problems over the last few months, and have only recently aquired a completely new system, with a backup RAID (An array of hard drives that keep a constant real-time backup of EVERYTHING) system for my files so I won’t have to worry about it or keep re-building mine anymore.

If anyone hasn’t heard from me in more than 3 or 4 days from the time they sent their original e-mail you need to send me another one. In getting everything set back up and learning my new system, I have had a few hiccups so to speak, and there have been a few days here and there that I haven’t gotten my e-mail off the server. I can give a big long tech explenation, but I won’t do it here.

I apologize for anyone who has to repeat themselves to me, but it is not intentional. I will definately NOT go back into production until sometime early next year if then, so no one need worry about getting their order. I WILL have everyone accounted for that I have records for within the next 90 days, and that is the extent of it. This includes any refund request as well.

I would really appreciate it if any other questions or statements be made to me directly, and not via this message board. I don’t feel I have the right to be posting messages like this here, as this is not my personal advertising / defending forum, and I would appreciate the same in return. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, and I expect there to be plenty of diversity about any whistle, but items being directed at me personally need to be directed TO me personally.

Contrary to a few persons beliefs, I am doing the very best I possibly can with the constraints I have. I do not enjoy making anyone wait or wonder, and as I have stated before, no one will be waiting much longer.

For anyone who is interested, I will not be answering e-mail or be posting on the message board for the next 2 to 3 days, as I will be back home with my family remembering those we have lost.

Sorry for posting such a lengthy note. Please disregard anything you find personally offensive as I mean none by anything. I am writing this in haste before I leave, and I am not in the best of states as I write this.
