Bonjour every bodys,
Haw can I put a picture in a topic?
Thanks
First, you have to host the picture on a website, either your own, or a public hosting service. There’s info on both in a topic “stuck” at the top of the TEST forum of Chiff & Fipple.
Then you reference that picture in your post, using the full Internet address to the image, just as when listing a webpage. For instance I indicate the WFO website by using http://www.worldtrad.org . The appropriate syntax for an image would be:
(image is coming) “[img]”
the image address and filename, such as:
followed by closing the image reference
(image ends) “[/img]”
I’ve broken it up like so, and placed within quotes, (and ignore the info in parenthesis), to let you see the syntax. If I put the img filename /img on the same line, with no quotes and with the proper square brackets, you’d see the image instead of the text necessary to display the image within the message.

Merci Kevin
Well, I am not good enough in computer and internet cause I do not know haw to put the picture on internet… What can I do? Some one could get the picture in his mail box and put it on a new topic?
If you can attach it to me in an email, I will post to the WORLDTRAD.ORG site as “sylvain1.jpg” (no capital letters). Send to kevin@worldtrad.org
Syntax to include in your postings would be:
[Ximg]http://www.worldtrad.org/sylvain1.jpg[/Ximg]
Just remove the letters “X” in the above example.

Pourquoi aller chercher si loin …
Et si tu demandais , en français , sur : www.pipeshow.net/board/index.php?showforum=3
ne serait-ce pas plus facile ?
Mark Wahlstrom identified the piper on C&F a while back:

George McCarthy from Co. Cavan. There is some info about him in O’Neill’s IM&M. O’Neill says he played a fine silver mounted Taylor set although this set in the photos is a Michael Egan. McCarthy died in 1908. In the 1903 picture issued as a postcard from NPU, " Pipers of the 19th Century" he is also shown playing this M.Egan set.
Hey, we need to sleep over here - about a 9-hour time difference. The picture’s up.
