I’m not sure if anyone has pointed this out, if so, I apologize for my redundancy…I want to congratulate Dale and everyone who has posted on these forums for reaching OVER ONE MILLION POSTS. I think that that is extraordinary! I have learned so, so much here and I want to thank you all for sharing your collective knowledge with the rest of us. I view all the members here as an extension of my " family" and I am sending a cyber hug out to you all. Well done everybody, and I look forward to the next 1,000,000 posts. Happy Easter everyone!
Yes, it is a milestone. Thanks for pointing it out, W1K.
From the Mods’ perspective, the number is somewhat inflated. It includes quite a bit of spam, which we quarantine but don’t necessarily delete. Also a lot of back-channel communication which you don’t see. And it doesn’t include all the vanished posts from the old Chiffboard, before the change to phpBB.
But the fact that the board is still going strong after all these years is a testimony to Dale’s perseverance, and to the enthusiasm of all you guys who make it worthwhile visiting. And that’s worth celebrating now and then.
Of course, one of these days we will clear out some of the old posts and inactive accounts, and you’ll have a chance to celebrate the 1 Million and 10K milestones all over again!
I’m in! just a “newbie” here though… penurious tone-deaf wannabe and can’t really play the pennywhistle, so maybe I could wave the pennywhistle storage socks and boxes
no that’s not it… its not polite to mark turf, mother earth has had it
so I should use electricity to pump the water out of the ground and run the pressure tank & jet pump so that I can add the water to the septic system, so that it can pump the liquid about the holding tanks and out to the drain field? (what is one heck of a lot closer to the stream than the barn.)
If you are hiking in the mountains do ya take your dishes over to the stream to wash them? or do you bring water back from the stream and wash & rinse?
I’m not sure that you understood what ma nature said.
hikin’s different, alright, go behind the barn, watch for critters, and NOT on the flowers! meanwhile, if were talkin’ whistlemarchin’ ya might wanna whistle and “Mark time, MARCH” whilst recyclin then “Relax”… ya didn’t forget did ya?
ya can hike this one… er, ah, I mean hot foot it
I mayn’t completely, but, I know ma nature, and I know she’s spittin’ it back thru the cracks an’ volcipples
