Harmonica questions

It certainly is, and I can recommend James’ CD. He and I banter much. I can hardly think of a session when we didn’t play She Begs For More. ( ) It sits beautifully on the low D diatonic.

Actually, I’ve got the Sighe Beg, Sighe Mor tune down pat on the G harmonica. It’s one of the few tunes that play the notes right on the diatonic harmonica.

Other tunes, like Sweet Afton, and Rights of Man, require a bit of creative license.

One of my harp-playin’ buddies clued me in on keeping the tempo with most tunes is to set the tempo from toe-to-heel, rather than from heel-to-toe. Sounds weird, but it really works with the harmonica. Using that approach, I’ve managed to play faster tunes, like Irish Washerwoman with ease.

Thanks Scheky.
