HAPPY EASTER

I just wanted to say that I hope all of you have a great Easter!

Peace and creativity,

…and a Happy Easter to you, too, Sara and to all who celebrate it.

Ah yes. Easter. The goddess of Spring who with her fertility symbol the March hare welcomes in the…oops! Oh…you mean the other Easter

. Sorry.

Cheers & Happy Easter
David

Although as a professing Christian, I appreciate the religious meaning of Easter, I have to admit that the holiday trappings thereof are fully bizarre to me. All the pastels and the shredded green celophane, etc. I had an experience a few days ago in the mall which sums it all up for me. These two very attractive young women were chatting and I overheard one say to the other, “Wait 'til you see the dress I have for church on Easter. OHMYGOD! It’s so HOT!”

Good information re: Easter Eggs, the Easter Bunny, etc. can be found at Easter Traditions.com. I passed on your mall anecdote at the dinner table this afternoon. My wife was greatly amused. You know, this Cape Cod nomadic life stinks. It doesn’t give me the space and time needed to make Easter eggs like this any more :frowning:

Alas…

P.S. That website has info the the goddess Easter as well

P.P.S. The eggs are goose eggs. Each one took about 7.5 hrs.

Thank you! Hope you guys had a nice day!

That mall story is sooooo funny! I’m not religious, so I don’t celebrate Easter personally, but if I did, I would celebrate it for it’s true meaning. Just goes to show that hardly anyone celebrates the true meaning of holidays - take Christmas for instance, I doubt many celebrate it for it’s meaning - most people see it as a day to have excess of everything and totally max out credit cards… the human race, go figure.

Sara Michelle

I hate to put a frown on this thread, but my dad passed away this Easter morning.

Happy Easter Dad.

John

John,

I am sorry to read about your Father’s passing away.

Holidays are very difficult times to celebrate when losing a loved one. To lose a loved one on a holiday. Well, I cannot imagine what you are going through.

I lost my Dad Decemeber 14th. But, that was when I was a young child. It is still difficult.

Some how may you find peace during this difficult time.

Laura

Frowns are for folks bereft of hope.
Easter is the day of resurrection; your dad is having a happy Easter.

My prayers are for you and your family. Your Dad’s the lucky one.

I am so sorry your father passed away.

John, our prayers are with you and your family. Mack’s right, he is having a happy Easter. As you already know, you will see him again one day, a day that will never end.

I’m sorry to hear (read) about your loss John, hope you’re around people you care for now and that care for U2.

John, my deepest sympathies to you and your family on your loss. May your father live on in the warm memories you hold in your heart…

Is it just me or do family members ALWAYS tend to die around holidays?

I’m not trying to be callous, but this seems to be an odd trend I’ve noticed.
