HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

 Happy Chinese New Year to all who celebrate it!!!

Kong he fat choy!

Happy Pancake Day!!

(It’s Pancake Day too)

The only problem with celebrating the Chinese New Year is that a couple of hours after you are done celebrating, you feel the urge to celebrate again!

Umm, Pancake Day, not that is something to celebrate. Why not a pancake month??>

Tom

aka Shrove Tuesday, aka Mardi Gras…did I leave any out? It’s a cool day, nonetheless. We do it up at casa Izz. I used to have a recipe for Shrove Tuesday pancakes…can’t find it now though :stuck_out_tongue:

I just looked for my recipe, and i really can’t find it (I was hoping it was hiding in my recipe box, but it wasn’t). Does anyone have a good recipe for Shrove Tuesday Pancakes?

Pancakes

sift:
one cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
one-quarter teaspoon salt

beat and add:
one egg (optional)

add:
1 cup milk (scant)
stir gradually to make smooth
add:
1 teaspoon melted butter or oil

cook in a hot frying pan, flip pancakes when they bubble, to brown the other side.

YAY!! Thank you MarMil…I knew I could count on you

::goes off to make some pancakes, singing Happy Pancake Day to YOOOOOOUUUUUU!!!::

It’s cream bun day (Semla -Semeldagen or Fettisdagen -Fatsoday-) in Sweden today I think. I haven’t had any cream buns though. I plan to have a couple of pints of Guinness with a friend later anyway, much better then cream buns.

Cheers and Happy New Year!

Dub, how did you know I was an Ox!
So, what are we going to do? Catch mice? Chase cats?

Well fancy that

I’ll think of something…

Slan,
D.

Will you be up all night cleaning house???

Aha! So…lets see now…judging from the apparent age of your children shown in your avatar that means you must’ve been born in 19…alright…never mind I don’t want to get into trouble

Cheers,
David

I must admit that it’s been a while. My favorite part as a child were the red packets.

Is that Malaysia that I see in your location? I lived there for the first 11 years of my life.

but then, one can always read my signature line!

Cream buns. I don’t think I’ll do a google image search on that one.
