Happy Canada day to our neighbors to the north! I hope the Canadian Chiffsters are taking the day off and generally loafing, maybe later to watch some fireworks? Ok heres’s the very brief history.
July 1, 1867, when the British North America Act created the Canadian federal government. The BNA Act proclaimed “one Dominion under the name of Canada,” therefore the original title of the holiday, “Dominion Day.” Dominion Day was officially renamed “Canada Day” by an Act of Parliament on October 27, 1982.

Just got up now, and the Canada Day Parade is playing right under my condo balcony, Windsor Police Pipe band is just going by.
Several us ended up last night with an impromptu session at local watering hole, and played O Canada several times through the early morning, finishing at two in the morning with another go at it.
I feel that I really want to sing O Ralph on the big white telephone.
And we are going at it later today at a barbee! And I have to remember that I have to work tomorrow morning

I likely won’t be joining in just yet; I’ve been playing for about a year, but I have yet to become even marginally good. I never really had time to practice much until recently.
Well just show up and introduce yourself and I will give some info on slow/fast session that will start again in September, if you are more comfortable with that.
Heck, bring your whistle(s) and join us, at least you will get a feel what this Tuesday session plays.
