The Low Whistle Book - Where’s the rest of the tracks?
Does anyone know if the second CD was ever made available?
I tried Mel Bay, which sells the book, and got this reply:
Unfortunately The additional CD referenced was
a project undertaken by the authors separate from Mel Bay and was never
made available to us so we do not know if they ever finished it or where
it would be available if they did finish it.
Very frustrating situation. I wrote to Hannigan twice, I think, but never received a reply from him. Obviously they never completed the CD which is a bit of a let-down. Many of the tunes in the book needed to be listened to properly in order to be played so I felt a little cheated. But there we go. You’re welcome to pursue the matter at info@steafan.com. Yes, it’s always been a bit of a mystery why Steafan did that !..He’s a really nice bloke, but it doesn’t do much for anyone’s integrity to leave references numbers to a non-existent CD, and walk away from it for so long…
