I’m thinking of selling my Hammy, but have no idea what a reasonable price is. Could someone clue me in as to how to figure that out? I tried to find people selling them used but couldn’t really find any so I have nothing to judge off of. Thoughts?

A Hammy flute is a very good one. I wish I would have enough money
to buy one.
Anyway - as it is used - 600 Euros is reasonable price for a keyless one.
People always want to sell their flutes on the same price they bought is, but it doesn’t really work - except for flutes that have a very long waiting period, e.g.: Olwell or Chris Wilkes flutes.
If I am right Silvain Barou sold a Hammy - but I don’t know how much
money did he get for it, and neither his e-mail address. But you can
easily look up his e-mail address.

Sylvain had listed an Eb keyless at Euro 750, same price as new, with no wait. Hammy’s new price for a D keyless is Euro 700, which is really an exceptionally low price for a quality instrument.
I’ve watch a couple go used, and don’t recall any discount over new pricing, for easy availability. There was a good buy on an older flute from the 70’s or 80’s, that was initially uncertain as to ID.

Hi Grixx: I am the person who bought Sylvain’s flute ~ He had had Hammy revoice it at some point, and it is an absolute JOY to play ~ I had it out yesterday, in fact. Very aggressive flute. In fact, I’m waiting for a D from Hammy that should be coming sometime soon, if his promise of a 6 month wait is correct… 
I don’t think you should have too much trouble selling it, as long as there is someone here really wishing for a Hammy, who doesn’t want to wait the relatively short amount of time for it (like you! ).
Murphy, Gordon, and James play Hammy’s (among all the others I left out!) and could maybe give you a fair idea of pricing ~ why are you selling, anyway?

If it was me selling my keyless Hammy I would ask Euro650 and throw in free shipping. As you mentioned, it’s difficult to find a used Hamilton flute and although the waiting list isn’t as long as some makers’, 6-8 months is still a considerable wait for a fabulous instrument. Hammy’s are always quite popular on the used market.
