Grrr...I'm being siphoned!

I had something similar happen to me at work: someone kept stealing my diet cokes out of the fridge. I always brought two, and had one after lunch (when it wasn’t stolen that is).

So, I appealed to the thief’s sense of guilt. Back several years ago, I bought an industrial size box of blank address labels, with like 2000 blank labels, not realizing how long they would last (especially since the shriners, unicef, and the like send me a hundred or so for free every 6 months, pre printed, to try to guilt a donation out of me)

In any case, I printed up a page of labels that said, in big black letters:

PLEASE DO NOT STEAL ME!
Theft is a crime!

And put them on my cokes. I stopped losing my cokes. The page lasted a few weeks, and by then, the purpetrator was trained.

That was kind…sometimes I wish I was kind, I’d have gone with the brownies!

-Gas siphoning really sucks!

Me too. My hubby’s the nice one in the family.

On the other hand, this was in North Carolina, where ketchup is a spice. Can you imagine the physical reaction of the fellow who, unused to even eating the occasionally jalapeno, got a mouthful of finely diced habaneros? Ah, I would have paid good money to see that!

My alarm on my Mini screams at 127db…I also mounted the claxon in the accessory storage on the inside of the car…right behind the driver’s seat :smiling_imp:

I don’t have anything important to say, but I decided to say it anyway.

On an earlier post on this thread I mentioned that the auto supply store was out of locking gas caps when I tried to purchase one recently. A good Samaritan on this board recognized my obvious plight. He asked me what kind of car I had, and I told him. Today a gas cap came in the mail, and it fits my old Buick perfectly. I didn’t threaten him with one of my sandwiches, or anything. Thank you, Barry.
