Sales having gone well (thanks to all, and you know who you are), I now arrive at the natural response to a good week - we use the money we just earned to BUY MORE INSTRUMENTS!!!
Soooo…
Anyone know what the price and estimated wait on a Grinter Low F whistle is, and if he charges extra for red lancewood?
Sort of agree with Jessie on the “woodiness” of the Grinter. I don’t believe he charges extra for lancewood and my pretty recent wait for a lancewood Bflat was about a month or so. Why don’t you e-mail Michael to get the latest. The address is at his site which is linked on the C&F page for highend whistles.
I was tempted, believe me, but considering what the weather’s like in Texas - ie. I can drive from Waco to Austin and my Copeland drops a half step in pitch - I really need something tunable. Otherwise, I’d be stuck in a major tight spot at some of my gigs…
My low D took 5 months - it all depends on his order book, and I believe all woods are the same price, but check with him. The plus is that you will NOT be disappointed!
