… possibly for sale, when I receive my refurbished and repaired Fentum from Chris Wilkes at the weekend. I think for financial as well as musical reasons I need to stick to one embouchure, so, much as I love my Grinter, it may have to go!

To be honest I shift between the old Rudall and the Grinter depending on the occasion and don’t have too much trouble (although they tune very differently)
True, but the financial consideration is still there!!
I bought the flute in May this year from a fellow Chiffer, from the proceeds of a Clifford Essex Paragon tenor banjo sale, however this coincided with my wife and me buying the 1950s house we had previously been renting. The aspects of the house which seemed quaint when we were renting, are now ripe for DIY modernization!!!
So the money from the flute would certainly come in handy for heating etc!!
The flute has been hardly played since then and only sessions twice, although it has been oiled and humidified.
