That’s great. I really like that.
I guess I should have said: "Enjoy!

I like some of Cindy’s songs better than others, but I’m constantly impressed by Grey’s
multi-talented musicianship, on flute, voice, concertina, fidddle. And he has
a background in ancient music that actually makes a difference to
his harmonies.
i really like grey’s playing, and his CD “the green house” is one that i listen to a lot.
i just adopted his take on “the wind that shakes the barley” and am working on the tune that follows.
on this clip…at 3:16 and again at 4:41 the camera focuses on the footjoint of a different flute.
Could be a lot shorter - very repetitious and not that interesting. The video is just awful. Whoever thought jump cuts every fraction of a second (and of the same stuff) made for good viewing needs to go back to film school. That style of video wore out its welcome 25 years ago.
Other than that, I loved it.
Reminds me of very early music videos, like Mike Nesmith’s stuff (late 70s, Lucy & Ramona, etc.) before MTV. Also, I wonder where some of that was shot. Doesn’t look like Bloomington.
Funny, I’d never heard Grey’s voice before, but that’s exactly how I imagined he’d sound. Don’t know why.
The song sort of reminds me of stuff David Byrne did after Talking Heads. I like it.
it reminded me more of Donovan’s stuff.

Here is my favorite of that genre:

and it makes Grey and Cindy’s video look like an award-winner.
I agree about Grey’s talents on concertina and old-time fiddle, he is amazing, but what struck me most when I saw them was Cindy’s guitar accompaniment. I think she is one of the best in the world. It must be like winning the lottery to be a flute player and find someone like that to make music with.
Grey and Cindy are two of my favorite musicians in the whole world and Grey IS my favorite flute player. I’ve done week-long workshops with the two of them for the past 3 summers and they’re even better in person! When the two of them are together, there’s a synergistic effect. The combination is better that the sum of the parts.
They sang this song last summer at our workshop and got the audience to sing various parts as well - it was a kick!
