I live in israel so it was very hard for me to find a tin whistle and this was basically the only one they had here in israel … so please tell me if its any good :

I haven’t played on a Waltons, but I hear they’re about as good as a Feadog(I learned on one), and that’s pretty good for a cheap whistle.
Howdy, I don’t have one of those, so I can’t say. I would like to add though that if your just starting out chances are even the most custom of custom whistles isn’t going to sound all that good. I wouldn’t worry to much about how good the whistle is for awhile. Generations are natorious whistles for being of pore quality. These and Clarkes are the only cheapies I own. I have found that as my breath skills have grown, a whistle that I have once thought to be unplayable is now somewhat great.
Walton’s as good a choice as most in a beginners’ whistle and better than some. If you like it and want to eventually move on to a better whistle, you might want to consider online shopping. You’ll get a better choice that way.

so far its hard for me to play cause im a bit overweight and breathing is hard for long periods of time , but im getting there! hopefully soon ill start playing better and participating in this board more 
I once bought a Walton D at a concert, and must say that my Walton is rather crap. The sound is shrill and the tuning is bad. But maybe I just got a bad specimen.
The best cheap whistles I tried were Clarke Sweetone, and also Clarke Original tweaked by “The Whistle Shop”.
I must admit, the tuning is a little iffy (just a shade) on my Walton, but I like the sound of it. It’s certainly possible to make beautiful music on it, so don’t think you made a mistake. Stick at it - in a few months you will have a much clearer idea of what you want in a whistle!
That said, it may well be that the Walton is the only whistle you will ever need!

I own two Waltons - a regular D, which I find a little too difficult to control in the second octave, and a Mello D (wider bore) which sounds very sweet and responsive.
From hearing others discuss them, and from Dale’s description on the website, the Waltons line has a pretty good reputation for a cheapie.

If you can afford it, buy either a Dixon or Oak by online mail - they’re still cheap, and in the long run you’ll get more enjoyment as they’re better whistles.
