I received a promo in the mail today from Green Linnet and was bemused to see that they are still listing Lunasa’s Redwood album amongst their inventory.
Wasnt there some sort of huge fiasco over GL’s handling of this album? And hasnt Lunasa taken back the album from Green Linnet? Yet GL is still selling it!? Strange.
I havent bought the album yet, but when I do, to be safe I guess I’ll log on to Lunasa’s website and buy it from them directly.
Didn’t notice that, but then again, that flyer went straight into the recycling bin…

The issue was that GL was releasing a different version (different sound and different cover art) than what the band authorized. GL still has those CDs they had made, and they’re still selling them. However, if you want the one the band wanted released, go directly to their website. Also, if you buy it from GL, the band is not likely to ever see any money from it, between GL’s reputation for not paying its current artists and the fact that Lunasa has left the label.
I suggest just buying it from the band.
