Woo hoo! By 7:20, we had to start turning people away because the church had reached its legal capacity. The audience clearly was getting into the music, and we got a standing ovation at the end!

Congratulations! That must be such a gratifying reward for all those hours of rehearsals. I have had to drop out of my church choir for now because of other demands on my time.

Of course, since I’m 9 months pregnant now I might not have wanted to venture too far from my hospital…

Well, hopefully we’ll be doing it again next year. In fact, if there’s interest, Mary may continue the choir throughout the year, doing choral arrangements of secular stuff.
With the way the weather was, it’s probably just as well you didn’t drive down. We were right in the midst of a Nor’Wester…I was amazed at the numbers we got in that kind of weather! Sadly, most of the people we had to turn away had come from San Francisco and Monterey…the bad weather had caused enough accidents on the roads to delay them and by the time they got there we were full.
I gotta tell ya though…“Seacht Suailce” seriously rocked! If I could have a recording of only one of the pieces, that’d be the one I’d want.
