OK, here’s a question for those of you (if any) who play Highland pipes as well as keyless flute. I find that I have to practice my whistles FIRST before going to the pipes. If I don’t, I have a terrible time damping down the wind requirement needed to sound my whistle. Now, If I were to take up the keyless flute, which I would like to do, would my piping experience help with getting used to the air requirements? I know that I have to learn about the embouchure and all, but knowing that, what do you think about piping and playing the flute?
Thanks to all who answer.
With best regards to all,
Steve Mack
