Gorblimey!!! Anybody seen my weasle???

Lol, sorry. I’ve been talking to one of my weird friends online and his silliness rubbed off a bit. Any ways, allow me to introduce myself… I’m Starpixy,I’m 19, and I play the Irish penny whistle. As you might’ve guessed, I’m new here. I’m a street-performer,and am planning on taking my whistle music out on the street.I was kinda hoping this forum would be good for any info I might need. PLEASED TO MEET YA!!!:)

You’ll never find a better place! Welcome.

Susan

Welcome!

I’ve done a bit of busking with the whistle myself, and the one bit of advice I can offer you is get out the chapstick or soap NOW and coat the windway of your whistle to help prevent clogging. There’s nothing like cool, moist, or foggy outside air to bring internal condensation to a distressingly sudden reel-stopping level.

Do you perform with a group, or do you play mostly on your own?

Hello, Starpixy, and welcome. For a moment I thought maybe your weasel went on tour like my weasel did. Got it back last night, and I’m not sure if I learned to deal with its upper register in its absence, or whether Aodh Og tamed its upper register for me. Regardless, nice to hear that your weasel isn’t truly missing!

Welcome, StarPixy! Prepared to be entertained!

StarPixy… now there’s a name for a street musician if ever I heard one!

Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!

What kind of Weasel did you misplace? 19 is kind of young to be misplacing them. I find myself misplacing Water Weasels, esp. the Bb and A, because they’re indestructible, so I let my 1-year-old play with them.

Be welcome here!
