Anyway, just tried my avatar to test it.
Looks like it can do basic image recognition of established images like flags and monuments. I wonder how exact the match up has to be.

Open a new browser window to http://images.google.com
Click on your avatar image in this window. Drag it over to
the place you’d usually type in what to search for in the
Google window. Drop the image there. It searches for the
image and “similar” images.
Oh, you can do it with pictures off your machine as well.
