There’s an early sighting of Eoin O’Riabhaigh playing the Goodman Taylor set here sometime in the late 1970’s - Conal O’Grada on flute (about 7 minutes in):

Aye I know, but only from a flute perspective. No one mentioned Eoin and the Goodman Taylor set.

Aha! So I assume he would be Michael O’Riabhaigh’s son? I saw the video and thought "Whoever the piper is I guess he was a student of the fellow who taught at the Cork Piper’s Club (and thus a contemporary, perhaps, of Conal O’ Grada and Maire Ni Ghrada) … " but couldn’t think of Michael’s name at the time. It all comes clear … thanks! Now, was that the set Goodman was buried with? Wheels within wheels …

Yes, you’re right Peter. I was wrong, someone asked, and Eoin was indeed named. It looks like Eoin was also using the original Taylor chanter back then. If the program was made 77/78 then Froment was just getting started I guess and had yet to make a chanter for Eoin?

Yes, the set was exhumed by alderman Phair. Here’s the set being played in 1966 and Eoin’s dad, Michael, tells the tale. Interesting that they sat in a house for 67 years before being given to Michael.
