Have you contacted Paul Busman? I don’t know if he normally works in boxwood, but I do know he’s open to requests for particular woods from a customer.

I heartily concur with Jessie on Swayne and Bleazey; in addition I’d add David Boisvert, C&F’s own Davey. A few comment on the different whistles. The Bleazey is one of my favorite whistles, but it’s not for everybody. It needs to be played with gusto. I have Swaynes in D and C. The D is possibly the finest whistle I’ve played – perfectly balanced, just the right amount of sweetness, mellowness, smoothness, and chiffiness. The C is also a wonderful whistle, but has a lot of backpressure – it plays like an Overton or Harper. That’s not a bad thing, just something to point out. The Greenwood is very mellow, and also requires a special kind of playing; kind of laid back in the lower octave and a bit more assertive in the upper.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend any of these, just wanted to point out a few observations.
