Here’s a website that has a lot of good MP3s. Blues, old-time, early jazz and early recordings of Irish music. Click on Listening Room.

That is really a good place. I’ll just mention that the Cape Breton Fiddlers link in the Listening Room is good too. I was trying to find out about piano accompaniment with Cape Breton fiddle a couple of days ago—how recently it had come about. Winston ‘Scotty’ Fitzgerald is considered the father of the Cape Breton fiddle style I guess and I just heard some really lovely recordings by him which had very nice piano accompaniment, so it has been part of that tradition for quite some time. He swings at just the pace I like to swing.

Thanks for the heads up, Steve!
