Go Tell It On The Mountain

Does anyone know if the above song is playable on the whistle? And if yes, does anyone have sheet music/ABC/ tablature for it available?

Thank you:-)

yes it’s playable, key of D; first note is B, which sounds twice.
Then A, G, E, D, G.

Sure. Play it in G:

B4 BAGE D4 G4

AA2G A2G2 B2d2 e2d2

B4 BAGE D4 G2c2

B2B2 A2A2 G8

It’s playable - I just tootled out a version starting on an a slide up to b. Dunno if that helps.

Does anyone know if the above song is playable on the whistle?

..mhm …are there any songs out there which are NOT playable on a whistle ?

Well, the second part of Mexican Hat Dance still gives me problems..

I’m thinking Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen might prove a little tricky.

The Flight of the Bumblebee still gives me problems.

Tico-tico is nice too.

…and Chopin’s ‘Minute Waltz’.

But not impossible…have a listen to De Danann’s version ‘The Hibernian Rhapsody’.

No problem with that. I’ve now got it down to one hour, seventeen minutes, and twentythree seconds. Ya just gotta practice more, Joseph.

I got a slightly different version, and here goes;

B4 BAGE D4 G4

AA2G G2A2 BABA G4

B4 BAGE D4 G2c2

B2B2 A2A2 G8

the only difference is in the second line.

…I suppose you’re right there. I’m only able to do it in just under forty three hours…sigh:smiley:
