Was there a whistle playing at the Glasgow papal mass on 16th sept.? Im sure it was a whistle and not a flute. Anyone else hear it? I have been searching for info on this and stumbled on this site. Im sure someone here may have some info?.

Glasgow’s mass? I dunno, but its gotta be immense. Some of the densest objects known to science call Glasgow home.
My brother the priest, who lives in Pennsylvania, likes to joke with me that my church in West Virginia, actually lets me get away with playing whistles, harmonicas, and ocarinas, and yes, guitars. I can’t wait to tell him there was whistling during the Papal Mass.
There most certainly was. It played a solo at offering of gifts for about six mins.

The mass book credits it to a Noel Donnely but some of the mass parts were by J Mcmillan some by G Fitzpatrick. It sounded wonderfull.
