Getting to first base and so on ?

I have heard these terms being used in U.S movies over the years and have a general idea what they mean ,but not the exact meaning.
So does getting to first base or second base and so on have well known and clear parameters and would someone be brave enough to explain them ,(without getting too explicit as not to offend anyone)and how many base’s are there ?

There are little league fields and major league stadiums. All home runs are not equal.

Yes, it’s very confusing.

Baseball ain’t my game but I always believed that third base was what’s known as a Home run.

Ye need to pay more attention to the vernacular…and the game.

I can’t wait to see what Denny says about what you wrote.

  1. Kissing. 2. Touching (some of) the secondary sexual characteristics. 3. Touching the primary sexual characteristics. 4. Joining the primary sexual characteristics.

Sorry my fault for not explaining my question properly ,I’m not talking about baseball but the activities of couples in the back seat of their car.

I like your version of the rules better than the real ones. :stuck_out_tongue:

“He never really got to first base with that woman”. Getting to first base is a hit but by no means a score. In romantic jargon getting to first base could refer to kissing and necking. No even getting to first base means that you only shook hands and then you were “out”, off the playing field.

Loud and clear..

Available in your country..TFG.

I have it on an Old Grey Whistle Test DVD…

Cher she ain’t.
