george f. handel playable on whistle?

Does anyone know of any music by Handel (solo recorder, flute, etc.)that is
reasonably playable on whistle?

Oooooh…

Ummm…

I forget what it is, but it’s something from “Judas Maccabaeus”, the opera he did I’m guessing..

It’s in G major, hmmm…

d2 B>c d2 G2 ABcd c2 B2 A4 is how it starts..

Cheers,
Armand

Some of the recorder sonatas should work, but you’ll have to do some half holing or playing parts of them up an octave. They were written for an alto recorder, which is like a low G whistle with extra holes at the bottom for F and F#. Wonderful music.
You might actually consider learning recorder if you love Handel. If you’re a half decent whistle player, the transition would not be difficult and then you could handle the chromatic passages with ease. It would open up a whole repetoire of fabulous Baroque music to you too.

I’ll bet that would be tough to get a “handle” on
