I’ve been playing the Uilleann Pipes several years now, I live in
Williamsburg. I’m heading out of town on a business trip. When I return on
February 10th, I will be listing my Uilleann Pipes for sale. They are a full
set (that is three drones and three regulators including the
bass), made by Seth Gallagher out of his workshop on the Hudson River in Cold
Springs NY. They are fully keyed in brass that look like gold when polished,
wood top with twist stop on the chanter. I have an extra chanter reed, heavy
duty case and three videos from Ireland to learn
from the masters. The set is perfectly tuned and pitched in "Concert D. I will
be asking $7,000 for everything which is less than original cost after
February 10th. I have more commitments now than I had when I commissioned Seth
to make them for me a few years back, with little time
to keep up my practicing and practically no time to perform anymore.
If you know of anyone seriously interested in a World Class full set of
Uilleann Pipes, if they get in touch with me by e-mail or phone and leave
message prior to February 10th precluding me from having to take the trouble
to advertise the set or go on e-bay, I will sell everything
for $6,000 cash. No waiting a couple years for a set to be made, you can have
it now for a low price. One local piper who has an authentic Leo Rowsome
chanter, played mine and in comparing the two he said, “Kevin, this chanter of
yours is as fast as a thoroughbred race horse!”
