FT: Thornton high D

I have a Thornton High D for trade. I can’t sell it - being in Russia I can only send money via paypal, not accept them. But I hope local WhOA-addicts have some nice stuff for trade

It’s a good whistle. If you want an ideal generation - that’s it. Same 1/2" tube, same hole placement, same sound (but more clean and nice), same air requirements and backpressure. Same sharp Cnat  Ornaments are crisp and clear. Untunable, but perfectly in tune. My problem is that I don’t like generations too much, but if you do - the whistle is for you.

No pictures, sorry - thorntonwhistles.info is down, and I have no camera. Can make some later, though.

What I want to get is described here: WTB](http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php?t=64355%22%3EWTB): have no idea what. I would be happy to get some low A or low G also. I got this whistle for $62 from ebay, so I don’t expect much. I can add some money if needed.

Make your offers

I thought you could shift the head to tune them.

Mine is untunable. I will check once more tonight, but I’m pretty sure.

I’ve got one that arrived out of tune with a slightly misaligned head (not from the maker - it was 2nd hand). Shifted the head round and out a bit and now it is just fine.

They are tunable. but the heads are easily stuck. Try dipping it in very hot, not boiling, water for second.
