Hi all! Well, I sold my George French flute to a fellow Chippler, and I’ve decided to sell my Wylde. I’ve realised that for my limited flute needs (and frankly, ability), I could fulfill them just as well with the Garry Somers Delrin I bought last year, and especially as I’ve decided to concentrate on my banjos
The flute has 8 silver keys, Marked “Wylde from Rudall and Rose” and “Wylde” on the sections except for the headjoint, it is in cocus, with a silver band around the embouchure, giving a nice edge to the hole, and therefore to the tone.
There are no issues, cracks etc, but 2 of the key blocks have had repairs in the past, there are a couple of very small dents in the silver band, all of which I’ll show in my photographs
I’ll post some pictures tomorrow, and a soundfile, and put it on e**y on Tuesday.
I bought it in December, and I think I still have the receipt.
I’m putting a starting bid of £900.
Please note amendments to maker’s marks.
There are now photographs of the flute on Flickr, Contacts: banjax1
How does one view photos on Flickr? Is it necessary to become a member 1st, or can the public view photos, too?
Hi Kkrell, just go to flickr, look for contacts an go to banjax1 any problems let me know or search people and banjax1

Thanks for the info Denny, I’ll have a go at that! I’ve just spent a pleasant hour in the school darkroom teaching someone who has never used film, how to make a silver gelatin print, an hour before her assignment submission!
I never use digital photography. I can just about manage to use my little Ricoh to upload stuff occasionally into flickr
Give me film everytime!

…and the photographs will be on ebay later on tonight!
the world has moved on dear… ![]()
I’m still stuck in 1967!
I don’t own a mobile phone, I don’t Twitter, Facebook has no part in my life, my music is on CD and cassette I read books, I don’t play games on the computer, I bought a television when I moved in with my wife to be, after not owning one from 1985 to 2002
I’m blissfully happy!!!
I eventually found it. The search looks for photos, which had one match, not a flute, and not from you. But then those results had a tab to look for People (not contacts). Nice flute.
Well, I was very tempted. someone got a nice flute there
Flute now sold, thanks for all the interest
Harry
