..and finally, this… it’s in the used instrument exchange
Edit: the flute is now sold…but the Rudall is still for sale
IMHO that is the most beautiful flute I have ever seen! I would love to hear it. Lucky lucky person who gets this!!
“The Texas fancy”. I don’t think Chris Wilkes made many of these boxwood Pratten flutes with engine turned rings. A once in a lifetime chance to own a special flute
It would be interesting to see some close up photos of the flute fully assembled, giving a clear indication of the extent and appearance of the bow in the middle section. For a full written description of an instrument of this type see the link to ebay listing below by a former owner of one from Virginia in the U.S. three years ago, who gives three descriptive paragraphs on that one’s history and condition.( shame the photos have come down) http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/321025674211
That flute is so stunning I just turned the photo into my iPad wallpaper!
It is pretty indeed… thanks for all the interest, lots of people messaged me and apologies to any I missed. Flute is now sold.
Mark, I’d like to see pics of the rudall, but I can’t get into the site you linked to. Is there another source? Thanks
