For Sale…Tadhg Crowley D Full Set formerly owned by Al Purcell. I’ve recently finished restoration on this set. It’s just been nicely reeded by K. Padraig O’Kaine. The Chanter and regulator reeds are Spruce and Cedar, which should hold up well in nearly any climate. If interested, PM or e-mail me for photos, sound files and relevant details. I bought this set to play, but I didn’t anticipate the fortunate acqusition of a Froment full set. In a strange coincidence, Jim McGuire coordinated the sale of the Crowley set to me, and a few months later I aqcuired the Froment set which has Jim McGuire’s name engraved on it by Froment as the original owner.
The regulator keys were replaced at some point in its history with Taylor style keys made by David Quinn. There are some recent photos of this set in the Pictures of Your Pipes topic.
Thanks,
Jeff
…the chanter has gobs of tone!
Is that good or bad?
