FS - silver hallmarked Alba high D whistle

Whistle
1

Hi all,

it’s been a while, I hope things are getting back to normal for you chiffers.

I have a beautiful Alba fully hallmarked high D whistle for sale, they are not on the Alba website, as I think it’s a special order, I was put onto it by another whistler, and then contacted Stacey O’gormon at Alba whistles.
She was so nice and accomodating and managed to find time to create one of these silver beauties, I feel bad selling, but some finacials issues have come up, usual stuff, I have put up as many pics as I can, silver is a pain
to capture well, it comes with a soft alba bag, it is in lovelly condition, very sturdy with a good weight, and lovelly sound, it is also tuneable, I have tried to capture a bit of playing which is not great, and will endeavour to get
it on my youtube site, and then if your interested I can send you a link to it.

please message me if you want any more information, I am based in West Sussex, Littlehampton, in the United Kingdom, it’s been a while since I have posted anything overseas, especially with all the Brexit issues, but I’m not
restricting it to the UK.

looking for around £350 ono plus postage which in the UK will be £7.75 royalmail special delivery

Looks to have some interesting design variations on the windway area, compared to typical Alba whistles.

Also makes me wonder why more whistle makers don’t offer silver whistles, it’s a metal renowned for good tone.

Hi Rober tunes,

You’re right it’s not a standard Alba in an way, silver warms up very quickly and based on the prices of top whistles and also the must have rare whistles that are in the high hundred pounds/dollar range, this one in my opinion looks stunning, and very reasonable compared to the used Sindt, copeland and the like prices, still not sold though, I’m wondering if I should keep it, especially as the price will only make a small dent in my cash flow needs…
