This is a simple system flute with 12 additional mounted keys. It is not a reform flute --it predates Schwedler’s reform flute by 13 years. Metal keywork & wood are clean, solid & in very good condition. No date or maker’s stamp. Probable date range would be from late 19th to early 20th century.

Tim, it couldn’t have found a better owner, especially one with your background. I’m glad it was purchased by someone knowledgeable about the history of this flute, it’s maker, and the music & method it was designed for. I have also enjoyed all the correspondences we’ve had regarding that subject.
I probably greatly underpriced that instrument, but I guess I’d better post here that the flute is SOLD.
