may i ask why?

I was not sure I could play flute and I bought Olwell bamboo flute to give myself a try. I found out after couple weeks that I could play songs on the bamboo flute. Then I bought a good wooden Irish flute but my saving is running low that I have to sell some of my instruments. Olwell Bamboo flute is an excellent flute, I wish I could keep it.

Good Luck KC with your sale.

Curses, foiled again!

Jimmy, don’t you already have
a Sweetheart G?

This is one occasion on which people can’t blame me either. How did I miss that one? Could I have been working or sleeping?

You don’t understand FLOA.
You don’t know what it’s like!

I have two Gs, the Sweetheart
and a boxwood Bleazey.
Now I will go off and play them
on the street. I thought the Olwell
would be helpful out there.
You’re right, I know. Greed. Best

So you have more than one G
but only one of them is a Sweetheart?

:astonished:

BTW,

Flutes Love Orkney Airs?
seriously, me no savvy.

Flute Acquisition Obsession disorder.
I must have another flute, and another…

I’m now in (virtually) complete control
of the Sweetheart rosewood, and recommend
it highly for busking. Made
40 dollars with it yesterday.

Busking earnings often have little to do
with one’s performance standard.
Don’t let that $40 be your criteria, my friend.

I can recall, one evening in 1978,
playing tambourine and singing and collecting almost as much.
The next night I teamed up with a stage performing
folk singer on dulcimer and got a lot of applause
but only $12 !!

Another time she hadn’t even started to play -
just tuning her dulcimer and someone dropped 20 bucks
in her cap!
Now I know she was a looker but thats SEXISM if you ask me.
Lucky she had a thick skin.

No-one has ever paid me to NOT play.
Thats a good yardstick …
