Mouthblown border pipe chanter in A440 by Seth Hamon (texasbagpiper). Made of mopane with no mounts purchased new from the maker in December 2009. The tone has a lot of bang and the semitones are all there.
I don’t have use for a mouthblown chanter at this time and my Garvie chanter is quite adequate for my bellows pipes.
Chanter will fit in stock for GHB or 3/4 size pipes or a set of Seth’s drones can always be added to it. I ordered it with a split stock and adapter as well. The adapter will fit those stocks as well but comes the stock
The chanter came reeded and tuned but I admit I futtered about with the reed when trying it out with my bellows pipes. I didn’t scrape it or poke but just moved it about in the reed seat and replaced the yellow hemp. I’ll send the reed along with it.
Chanter with reed, split stock and adapter was $350 new. I’d like $300 OBO. I’ll cover post.
