$100: Jeff Whittier Bansuri in D/G (key/Tonic)
I’m selling a very nice bansuri (north Indian bamboo flute) made by master bansuri maker Jeff Whittier. It’s pitched in key of D (six fingers closed), so G (3 fingers closed) is the traditional Sa (tonic). This is a 7 hole flute: the 7th hole is played with the right hand pinky, giving you low C#. This flute is very responsive, good volume, and has a tone on the brighter side for a bansuri. Would be a great flute for crossing genres into celtic, balkan, middle eastern stuff. I’m selling this flute because I need a couple other bansuri more critically than this key right now, and being a poor musician, I’ve got to trim the fat however I can.
