So all of a sudden all the threads are about G whistles!
I have one of the very few Mack Hoover wooden whistles ever made – a mahogany low G with blacktop. It’s a very fine whistle, but a bit quiet for my liking. It’s an ideal whistle for playing softly at home, or mic’ed, particularly for airs. Very expressive! It won’t carry in a session, though, and isn’t getting played much. I’ve loved owning it, but have been on a buying spree, and something’s gotta go!
My price is pretty firm at $120. I’ll try to get some pictures up tomorrow.
Ummm…I also like Technopipes with Galician fingering! ![]()
Edited to add link to picture: (Oh, it also includes this great nylon case).
