FS: Burns D boxwood Rudall flute with silver rings

I’ve decided to reduce the price of this Burns flute:


Burns keyless small-hand Rudall-derived model in boxwood with silver rings and partial slide. This flute has a sweet sound but is not quite as loud as a blackwood flute. It is still capable of good volume, however.

The hole spacing is very comfortable–the third and sixth holes are at a comfortable distance, being just a bit of a smaller reach than my Olwell. The third hole is slightly offset for ergonomics. (I recently bought a boxwood Olwell from a board member, so this flute is now redundant for me but a great instrument.)

I don’t have a digital camera to take a picture of the flute. It’s been regularly oiled, pampered, etc. It looks like the boxwood Rudall on Casey Burns’ web pages.

I’m asking $600 + $15 for shipping in USA. (New, this would be $975. It’s about a year & a half old.)

May I just say, as a Burns Rudall boxwood guy, that this would be a great fute for a great price. Much bang for the buck.

Whew. Thank heavens that’s over. Every time I read this thread, my hands started to sweat and I would recalculate the contents of my change jar.
