I knew this was going to happen. It always does.
I just bought one of these yesterday. ![]()
I’d recommend this whistle. I’ve got one and regularly enjoy playing it. It’s sweet-sounding, not shrill or overly aggressive. I use it when playing with others and I don’t want to blast them away. As you might expect, given that it’s a moderately quiet whistle, I haven’t been able to wail away on it, although that may be a reflection on my skills rather than the whistle. I’m not sure, but I think the lowest notes, especially the low D are a little quieter than the rest of the notes. It’s extremely light and does feel fragile, but I’ve not definitely tested that.
Argh, sorry Wanderer, takes me several days to decide me.
Otherwise, i have two Burke, one brass and one composite,
the composite is the best (in my opinion) more complex sound, but takes more time to be used to. I keep the brass because it’s a quieter whistle (narrow bore).
This whistle is very light and pleasant, but i don’t find it fragile, it’s just a feeling.
