Hi you all. I have a darn nice low E/D Alba set I would like to sell. This is a nice whistle. Nicest low whistle I have ever played. Tuneable made of alu. and very substantial. Very strong bottom end and nice transition between octives.
Like to get 200 dollars for the set.

I have noticed that when I click back to the forum, your propeller stops.
I hope you do not lose to much altitude. Bi planes are nose heavy and do not glide well. :slight_smile:

It’s Christmas and we’re buying things for other people and not for ourselves. lol … still, I had to look at your post again before I realized that it was a LOW WHISTLE set. I originally looked at it, went to the Alba Whistles site and thought, hmmmm … I could get a brand new D whistle and a brand new E whistle for $207 and some change. Why get a set?

Then I read that you’re selling a LOW WHISTLE SET (emphasized for people like me who missed that point. See? I’m being helpful! :smiley: ) Buying a new one of each would cost $242 and some change. So it’s a good deal. BUT … for me it wouldn’t be. I already have an Alba Low D. So you’ve lost a bit of the market on that fact probably.

Fear not. Sitting out there right now is someone who’s forehead is covered in sweat. Their knuckles are white with the grip they have on the arms of their chair. “I will not surrender to WhOA … I will not surrender to WhOA …” Don’t worry. They’ll buckle soon. :laughing:

Here I am. I really want that set but right now it is about $190 above my budget. I hope someone jumps on it.

Well LittleJohn; thanks for all that info. I didnt think to check the Alba site until late last night after I had put the horses away and finaly got my fingers un froozen enough to work the key board. I didnt, however, have my brain thawed out enough to figure out what 80 pounds was. This set is not something they sell, that I know of anyway. It is a single head and two tubes. So I may be asking too much. It is a monster whistle but not that hard to finger. But I think I will drop the price down to say
165 dollars. I feel better about that. Heck Ron, who knows, maybe in a couple of weeks it will be right in your ballpark :smiley:
