Francis McPeake School to Open in Belfast

“The Francis McPeake School of Music, incorporating an International Summer School and the first ever World Championships of Irish Music, was launched recently in Belfast’s city centre. The School opened on January 7th to students from all backgrounds across Northern Ireland’s religious and political divide and will signify for the first time a centre for creative learning of Irish culture in the capital.” ULSTER TATLER

Peter - I believe the summer school is a new aspect of what they’ve been up to. The school of music was indeed founded in 1977.

I just remember them coming up to Clare with a busload of pupils during the summer seemingly for ever, that’s why I said it didn’t seem a new development.
