For "Skyclad01" from the chiffy chat

Here’s the recording you wanted of Crossing the Shannon:

There are several different ways to “feel” this reel. This is just the way it seemed to want to be played today.

Darn bifocals! I thought the post said SCANTILLY CLAD!

If you check out the meaning of skyclad I think you’ll find it is pretty scanty.

Ah Jb, I see what you mean. I’m wondering if skyclad01 will post any pics in the cutie pie thread.

Thanks for the tune Jim. Now i get the full effect of it as opposed to the partial effect i was getting from the midi verion. What kind of whistle did you use for it? (and what key)?

And no, i wont be posting any pictures in that thread. And while my name may be scatnly clad, everyone can be rest assured that i am very well cladded.

That’s a plain-old Susato D tunable whistle (not the narrow bore one, just the regular one).

Hi, Sky! I got your pm but was unable to reply so am using this old thread to get a message to you. I had a stroke at the end of June and spent over a month in hospitals for treatment and rehabilitation. I am recovering well but have a long way to go yet. I can barely play a whistle but I couldn’t even get a decent sound out when I first got back home so there is still hope! My left arm and hand are still very weak but getting stronger. Hope you are well and that this message gets to you! When I tried to get to your message on C&F it said page not found. I did get an email with your message content at least. :slightly_smiling_face:
