Hi all. I am selling two instruments that are relatively new and have received very little play time. In mint condition are:
- an Overton tunable low D (easy reach) made by Colin this past June.
2)a Seaman/McDonagh Bb fife, a 6 holed, two piece, conical bore, grenadilla wood fife, the Regimental Model, with wood and cork tenon joint, in standard Folk Bb (Concert Ab) pitch. You can get a look at this model at http://wilsonwoods.com/fifes.html#
The Overton is a beauty. I am only parting with it because in between the time I ordered it from Colin in February and now I was able to acquire another one from a retailer here in the US. Interesting to note is the hole sizes and stretch are a bit different between the two I have. I am keeping the first one, which has larger holes and wider stretch. I get a little more volume out of it, and its what I’ve grown accustom to.
The fife is also a beauty. It was for my daughter, but she has gotten hooked on her Overton Bb flat, so much so that she wants to sell the fife to fund another Overton purchase, this time a low G. The fife does require a tightly focused emboucure, but the fingering is quite easy to manage. Anyway, here is what I am asking. The price is inclusive of shipping in the US, International, please add $10:
$200 for the Overton, including pouch and certificate of autenticity. (paid $205 plus shipping from Germany for it new in June)
$100 for the fife, including storage box, cork grease and cleaning rod (paid $125 + shipping for it new in May).
Please submit an email if interested.
Cheers,
Matt
