A reluctant, but unfortunately necessary sale. I have an 8-key Watson in blackwood for sale. Sterling silver keys, grasshopper key touches for the low C and C#. Very light, powerful flute. Can be played quietly or loudly with that reedy tone we all love. Comes with Glenn’s unique case. Asking US$3200 which includes insured shipping in U.S. That is what I paid for it. Glenn’s waiting list is getting longer, currently a year last time I checked for an 8-key and costs slightly more than what I’m asking (not including shipping costs). PM if interested.

I was able to get some pictures done. Hopefully the link below works!
FWIW, I have a Watson 6 Key that has become my main flute. Those of you who know me know that I have had the opportunity to try just about every top quality flute out there. I am not going to say Watson flutes are the best, as no such thing as a “Best” flute exists, however I will say Glenn Watson’s flutes are fantastic. The scale (tuning) is the most modern (even) I have run across. The workmanship is excellent and Glenn seems to season his wood better than many makers these days. These flutes are capable of a variety of sounds from relatively pure to reedy, assuming you’ve got the lip for it and the keys are well placed and function extremely well. This is a great opportunity to get a fabulous flute with no wait.
Sean, really sorry to hear you have to sell this, I know how much you like it. Good luck with whatever forces the sale.
Thanks for the comments Loren and Akiba. It is a great flute. I just need the cash right now with a baby arriving shortly I do have a keyless to keep me occupied until I can afford another keyed. If anyone is in the NY area you’re welcome to try it out. PM if interested. Again, price does include insured shipping. Thanks.
