I have been trying to sell this chanter for a while. It is a scalloped chanter in D, with a stop key and c nat and F keys. I believe it is cocuswood. The chanter is reeded, though the weather has changed and I have not recently tried to play it. It feels thin in the hands, but easy to cover the holes. I would like $250.00 for it, which I believe is more than a fair price. If interested in pics and clips, please contact via email.

Correction: Tony says it is ebony, not cocus. Sorry.
@Nic: sorry about that! I have been at the NE Tionol, and have also just received my new set. So, this is what I am now considering… I have a 3/4 mixed set for sale: It is a Robbie Hughes half set with Chris Bayley tenor and baritone regs. I would also include the Hebdon chanter in the sale. I actually like the Hughes set and would keep it
save the outstanding debt I have incurred with the new set. Benedict K. liked the Hughes chanter when he checked it out over the summer at the East Durham event. I tried to get a reed from him, but he wasn’t happy with any of the reeds he had available at the time. Please email for pics and sound clips. The set is currentlyreeded, though the Hughes reed is playing sharp of A=440, and the regs need to be tuned. The Hebdon is reeded and playing, though I don’t know the tuning…
I would prefer to sell the whole ‘kit and kaboodle’ rather than splitting up the set.
Drones are steady and strong at the moment.
