Howdy,
Shaw Bflat whistle for sale. The whistle is in great shape, and plays with that wonderful, breathy Shaw sound. However, I’m finding that I react to whistles with brass and nickel mouthpieces. So I’m not playing it anymore.
The original breath requirements were too high for me, so I got out my planishing hammer (I make jewelry on occasion) and gently narrowed the windway a touch. This reduces the breath requirements similar to the tweak Jerry Freeman does on the Shaws he sells. Same great sound without requiring you to cough up a lung. You can examine my work on the narrowed windway in the pic below.
I got this new at Lark in the Morning for $57 dollars. I’m selling this one for $35.
