I’ve got a somewhat rare aluminum and Copper Silkstone Low D that needs a new home. The whistle has a tuning slide and is in very good to excellent condition. The bottom copper ring will move if you twist or pull on it, but it isn’t loose per se. I believe it was friction fit on the whistle rather than glued in place. Other than that, there are some normal light scratches here and there but not dents or damage. Nice patina on the copper and the whistle still looks great overall. I can’t post photos at the moment, but I can email photos if you are serious.
The whistle plays well and sounds nice, but people like different things, so YMMV. It’s no Goldie or Copeland, but it is a good low whistle, particularly for those on a budget. That said, I want to be completely honest and say that I would not recommend this Low D for someone with small hands or arthritis etc. because the tone holes are largish and the spacing is not optimized for those with smaller paws. OTH, great whistle for folks with large hands/fingers.
So there you have it. $150. Shipped in the USA. Whistle includes a soft carry bag. Also open to interesting trades.
