For sale: D wood whistles by Ralph Sweet and Kirk Lynch

I’ve two wood whistles for sale. First, a Sweet, cylindrical bore, two pieces with tunable tenon, made of black walnut - smells really nice - with the serial number 6861. This reads 1989 upside down, when I bought this whistle in 1996 I figured Ralph must be a dreadful salesman…or perhaps the whistle had been found in an attic somewhere? $75 for this one.
The other whistle is by Kirk Lynch, cocobolo with brass ferrules and tuning slide. Kirk is a highly respected maker of uilleann pipes - Jerry O’Sullivan plays chanters Kirk made, for instance - and used to play music fulltime with the band Scartaglen. Kirk told me he swiped the design from Glen Schultz, who helped him get started building stuff, so I suppose it plays a bit like a Weasel. Kirk also told me Glen swiped his design from Abell, so perhaps Glen really is a weasel…$100 for this one. Email or PM. I’ve no pics, sorry, but can send you a little MP3 of either whistle.
