If this is all legit then why does mitchellbk not include an email address in the user profile??? Why does an attempt to access http://www.SPCorp.com come up with nothing???
Why does this smell like a ripoff or perhaps stolen whistles??? It seems plain that he/she doesn’t know jacks**t about whistles. Perhaps “mitchellbk” who it seems only joined the messageboard yesterday would care to explain.

Yeah, this is definately a wee bit fishy. It is totally possible that whoever made this post was just totally clueless, but it’s worth being careful one way or the other. It looks like this post was intended for e-bay. Are the whistles there as well?

As far as my putting my web address on the posting board or in a different location than in the body of the e-mail, is only because I did not know how.
This is my first listing, the first time to ever sell any irish flutes of any kind, and my 2nd or 3rd time on anyother site other than ebay.
I do not know how else to answer questions on my integrity than to give my ebay history. I am who I say I am and have what I say I have and will be selling them… Is the price too low that this is a deal?? I really need more than what I am asking. I picked up these flutes in a Judgement from the Worship Leader at my church: Cause # 348-187094-01, made in the 348th District Court of Tarrant County, TX, April 11, 2001, signed by Judge Dana M. Womack. Judgments are generally given to people who have trusted instead of misrepresented. Judge Paul Enlow, (141st District Court - Tarrant County, etc, etc) can also verify that this whistle/flute collection have never been stolen and put any suspicions to rest. All this is public information and so are the phone numbers. Several pastors & worship leaders from this community could also give any references that you might request.
I have no idea what the internet has to offer on a personal note, but I would have to believe that there are other honest people like myself online. If this is not enough information about my situation and desire to sell this collection, please do not hesitate to e-mail me. I have had 3 other e-mails today alone, that I have not only received but answered & sent photos of what I tried to describe here. Sorry for your inability to access my e-mail address. Beverly, when some one appears out of the blue trying to sell high end whistles about which they know little it raises some serious red flags. One has to wonder why a person ignorant of whistle-lore would have their hands on not one but three high end whistles. There are two other people selling whistles on the messageboard at this time but they are known and trusted C&F community members who have been posting here for quite some time. My postings here are in the spirit of trying to watch out for my fellow C&Fers.
Beverly…there are no flutes in your collection. They are all whistles. This forum is not a place to sell things, although selling is allowed if it’s done with class. Your commercial (ebay) post is inappropriate for this board, and that’s why people are getting upset with you. A better way of doing it would be to list them separately on ebay and then put a short note on this board with the link to your ebay auction (the item number would suffice if you don’t know how to do links). Good luck selling the whistles.
OK, I’ll take some of Beverly’s heat for this one. I’m not a regular poster to this board, though I do read it regularly and have made a few posts in the past.
I bid on these whistles on eBay, but when the top bid didn’t reach Beverly’s minimum price, she contacted me to ask if I would like to make another offer. I told her that the whistles were still out of my price range, but that someone on this board might be interested. She told me that she was not entirely internet-fluent, so I suppose I should have given her a little more background on the board, rather than just throwing her to the wolves.
Apologies to Beverly, and to anyone else who was concered by her post.
