that gains notoriety through recorded CD there are at least 10-20 other nameless young pipers of equal or greater proficiency or potentially equal or greater proficiency. True or False? That’s what I’ve been told; just want to know what others think.

Not just young.. Lot’s of great pipers who simply are not arsed about recording or noteriety.
They love what they do and do it for no other reason. 
It sure seems to be an expansive scene. Pipers should get deserved credit for putting together their CD. Most of the time, it is very evident that a lot of effort went into its creation.
